Schneider Electric: new CEO appointed

(CercleFinance.com) - Schneider Electric has announced that its Board of Directors has unanimously decided - with immediate effect - to appoint Olivier Blum as CEO to accelerate the implementation of its strategy and initiate the next phase of its development.


The Board has decided to terminate Peter Herweck's duties as CEO following disagreements in the implementation of the company's roadmap at a time of significant opportunities.

A member of the Executive Committee since 2014, Olivier Blum heads the energy management business. Prior to taking on the technological and commercial management of Schneider Electric's largest business, he held a wide variety of key positions within the company.

His previous roles include Director of Strategy and Sustainable Development and, previously, Director of Human Resources at group level, as well as various operational roles, notably in India and China.
