Nokia: obtains security certification in the USA

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia announces that it has obtained FIPS 140-3 Security Level 2 certification for its 1830 PSS, PSI-M and PSS-24x products, an industry first for Level 1 optical transport systems.


FIPS 140-3 certification imposes enhanced security requirements to protect sensitive data.

This validation includes Nokia's quantum encryption solutions, with centralized key management via the 1830 Security Management Server (SMS).

This certification represents a step forward in securing the U.S. government's critical optical networks," said Mike Loomis, President of Nokia Federal Solutions.
