Toyota: collaboration with NTT in AI, telecoms & mobility

(CercleFinance.com) - Toyota Motor Corporation and Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (NTT) announce a collaboration in mobility, AI and telecommunications to achieve the goal of a society without road accidents.


The two companies intend to build an "AI Mobility Platform". This will integrate a high-quality communications infrastructure with computing and AI systems capable of processing vast volumes of data.

The project will include a decentralized computing infrastructure optimized for energy efficiency and renewable energies, an intelligent communications infrastructure adapted to various traffic environments, and an AI platform.

Scheduled to be operational from 2028, this initiative will see a total investment of 500 billion yen by 2030, with trials starting in 2025.
