Linde: Q3 adjusted EPS up 8.5%

Meanwhile, adjusted EBIT rose by 7.4% to $2,477m, with adjusted net income up 6.3% to $1,896m. Adjusted EPS came to $3.94, up 8.5%.
In addition to managing short-term performance, the company signed its largest gas sales project, taking the backlog to $10bn and ensuring future growth in the traditional industrial gases model, all within our disciplined investment criteria, management said.

Against this backdrop, Linde expects adjusted earnings per diluted share (EPS) of $3.86 to $3.96 in Q4, up 8% to 10% y-o-y.
For FY 2024, the company forecasts adjusted diluted EPS of $15.40 to $15.50, up 8% to 9% y-o-y, or 9% to 10%, excluding an estimated 1% currency-related headwind.
