Lockheed Martin: acquisition of satellite manufacturer

(CercleFinance.com) - Lockheed Martin announces that it has completed the acquisition of Terran Orbital, a manufacturer of modular satellites, and its subsidiary Tyvak International.


Terran Orbital, now integrated under the name 'Terran Orbital, a Lockheed Martin Company', will continue to provide complete solutions including design, production, and management of satellite missions, supporting civil, commercial and defense customers.

''The addition of Terran Orbital's entrepreneurial spirit to Lockheed Martin's scale opens up many opportunities to together push the boundaries of technology and space solutions,'' said Robert Lightfoot, president of Lockheed Martin Space.
