USA: anecdotal decline in crude oil inventories

S. Energy Information Administration (EIA) show that U.S. crude oil inventories totaled 425.5 million barrels in the week to October 21, down an anecdotal 0.5 million barrels on the previous week.
The agency points out that stocks of distillates - including heating oil - were down by 1 million barrels, while gasoline stocks were down by 2.7 million barrels, again compared with the previous week.
Finally, the EIA points out that refineries operated at 89.1% of their operational capacity during the same week, with average production of 9.7 million barrels/day.
