Bayer: launches packaging with a reduced carbon footprint
(CercleFinance.com) - Bayer has announced the launch of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) blister packaging for its Aleve brand, in partnership with Liveo Research.
This innovation reduces the carbon footprint by 38% and eliminates the use of PVC, marking a step forward in sustainability, Bayer claims.
The new packaging will be launched first in the Netherlands, and will reduce water consumption by 78% and land use by 53%.
Bayer aims to replace all its blister packaging with sustainable alternatives, and is working with industry partners to promote circular packaging solutions while ensuring product efficacy and safety.
