Alstom: contract for Madrid's metro
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has signed a contract with Metro Ligero Oeste (MLO), Madrid's transport operator.
The contract covers the complete overhaul of the Citadis tramway fleet, in service in Madrid since 2007.
The contract includes a general overhaul of its fleet of 27 Alstom Citadis streetcars. Tasks to be carried out include inspection and maintenance of the braking system, bogies (motor and trailer), circuit breakers, vehicle couplings, inter-carriage shock absorbers and emergency brake control unit.
The overhaul of the braking system will start in January 2025, and other equipment is scheduled for overhaul in 2026.
