Alstom signs contract with Metro Ligero Oeste in Madrid
(CercleFinance.com) - Alstom has signed a contract with Metro Ligero Oeste (MLO), Madrid's transport operator.
The contract covers the complete overhaul of MLO's fleet of Citadis streetcars, in service in Madrid since 2007.
The contract includes a general overhaul of Alstom's fleet of 27 Citadis streetcars. Tasks to be carried out include inspection and maintenance of the braking system, bogies (motor and trailer), circuit breakers, vehicle couplings, inter-car shock absorbers and the emergency braking control unit.
Overhaul of the braking system will begin in January 2025, with other equipment scheduled for overhaul in 2026.
The contract will run in two phases, from 2025 to 2029.
