United Airlines: launches its biggest ever winter schedule
(CercleFinance.com) - United Airlines announces the largest winter schedule in its history, with an average of nearly 4,600 daily flights during the peak season.
The airline expects strong demand for international travel, particularly to Latin America and Europe.
New routes include the inaugural flight between Newark/New York and Marrakech, which starts on October 24, as well as a unique service to Cebu, Philippines, from October 27.
United stands out for the development of its network in Africa, becoming the only airline to connect the United States directly to Marrakech with service three times a week.
The airline also plans to increase its flights to other African destinations, such as Accra and Lagos.
In response to the strong increase in travel to Europe this summer, United will extend its services to iconic destinations including Greece, Spain, Italy and Portugal, with the highest number of seats offered compared to previous winter seasons.
United continues to grow in Latin America, forecasting a nearly 10% increase in capacity over last year, with newly established routes to Medellin, Colombia, and Monterrey, Mexico. The company will also increase services to several Caribbean destinations.
