Air Liquide: 3% comparable growth in quarterly sales

76 billion for the third quarter of 2024, down 0.7% on a reported basis, impacted by unfavorable energy (-0.9%) and currency (-3.1%) effects.

The industrial gases giant nevertheless claims comparable growth of 3.3%, reflecting "the resilience of the business portfolio in a difficult environment", as well as a contribution from Argentina of +2%.

We are continuing to improve our margins, and our investment decisions have reached a record level (1.4 billion euros), paving the way for long-term growth momentum", emphasizes CEO François Jackow.

Also claiming a 10% increase in efficiencies at the end of September, Air Liquide is confident in its ability to further increase its operating margin and achieve growth in recurring net income, at constant exchange rates, in 2024.
