Air Liquide: 3% Q3 comparable sales growth

76bn for Q3 2024, down 0.7% as reported, impacted by unfavourable energy (-0.9%) and currency (-3.1%) effects.

However, the industrial gases group announces comparable growth of 3.3%, reflecting the resilience of the business portfolio in a difficult environment, as well as a +2% contribution from Argentina.

We are continuing to improve our margins, and our investment decisions have reached a record level (E1.4bn), paving the way for long-term growth momentum, management said.

Also announcing efficiencies up 10% at end-September, Air Liquide says that it is confident in its ability to further increase its operating margin and achieve growth in recurring net income, at constant exchange rates, in 2024.
