GE HealthCare: launches AI innovation lab

(CercleFinance.com) - GE HealthCare has announced the creation of a new AI Innovation Lab, an initiative designed to accelerate early-concept AI innovations across the company.


GE HealthCare is focused on integrating AI into medical devices, creating AI applications that improve decision-making across the care pathway and disease states, and using AI to support better outcomes and system-wide operational efficiencies.

Innovations include the Health Companion research project powered by agentic AI.

Other early innovations explore urgent care needs, including identifying new ways to detect breast cancer and improving the quality of care for moms and babies.

We will continue to gather feedback from our customers to find ways to help them apply AI to their healthcare data and convert insights into actionable strategies that can improve care, GE HealthCare said.
