Mondelez: sells stake in JDE Peet's
(CercleFinance.com) - The investment company JAB Holding has announced an agreement with Mondelez International to buy 86 million shares in JDE Peet's (Jacobs Douwe Egberts), at a price of E25.
10 per share, for a total consideration of around E2.16bn.
In addition, it distributed 43 million JDE Peet's shares, representing 9% of the latter's capital, to more than 70 external investor partners within JAB Consumer Partners, thereby significantly increasing the free float to 32%.
We remain fully committed to remaining a reference shareholder for the world's leading coffee and tea company, JAB said (which will thus have increased its stake in this Dutch group to 68%).
