LDC: set to acquire ECF in Germany

(CercleFinance.com) - LDC has announced an agreement with the shareholders of the ECF Group (European Convenience Food) with a view to acquiring a majority stake, a transaction which should be finalised by end-2024, subject to approval by the French Competition Authority.


Specialising in cooked and frozen processed products and out-of-home catering in Germany, ECF employs nearly two hundred people, with sales of almost E80m and EBITDA of over E10m in 2023.

This new acquisition would enable LDC to enter the promising frozen poultry and vegetable products segment, in a new country - Germany - Europe's leading agri-food market.
