Nokia: agreement to deploy 5G in Vietnam

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia announces a new partnership with Vietnam Posts and Telecommunications Group (VNPT) to deploy 5G technology, in support of the 'development of a robust digital infrastructure' in Vietnam.


Under the agreement, the Finn will deploy equipment from its cutting-edge AirScale 5G portfolio, powered by its energy-efficient ReefShark System-on-Chip technology, as well as its AI-based MantaRay 5G network management solution.

The telecom equipment supplier adds that it will also manufacture its 5G products locally in Vietnam, underlining its commitment to the region and 'further strengthening its strong bond with the country', according to Tommi Uitto, Nokia's president of mobile networks.
