Siemens: order for 50 locomotives

(CercleFinance.com) - Green Mobility Partners, a new Vienna-based player in the European locomotive leasing sector, has placed an order for 50 locomotives with Siemens Mobility.
The contract includes the purchase of eight Vectron MS locomotives, as well as support in the service area.

The Vectron locomotives have a maximum output of 6.4 MW and a top speed of 200 km/h.

The new locomotives are produced at the Siemens Mobility plant in Munich-Allach, with the chassis coming from the Graz center.

Siemens Mobility said that with Green Mobility Partners, the family of Vectron operators continues to grow. The Vectron MS is approved in over 20 countries and is the standard for cross-border travel in Europe on all rail corridors.
