TotalEnergies: about to sell activities in Brazil

(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies announces that it has signed an agreement to sell its fuel distribution activities in Brazil to the local group SIM Distribuidora, one of the country's leading players in the sector and part of Grupo Argenta.


The transaction, which is subject to regulatory approval, includes a network of around 240 service stations and several storage facilities for petroleum products and ethanol. The company will retain its lubricants production and distribution activities in Brazil.

This sale is in line with the selective strategy of TotalEnergies' Marketing & Services branch in terms of distribution networks, which focuses on geographical areas where it holds significant market shares.
