Pernod Ricard: sells several Nordic brands

(CercleFinance.com) - Pernod Ricard announces the signature of an agreement for the sale of Minttu liqueur and its entire portfolio of local Nordic brands produced in Turku (Finland) to Oy Hartwall AB, a subsidiary of the Danish group Royal Unibrew.


The sale includes spirits, wine and liqueur brands, the best known of which is Minttu liqueur, as well as the corresponding production assets located in Turku.

Hartwall is also acquiring Lapponia liqueurs, a wide range of berry and fruit wines, and various brands of glögi (spiced mulled wine from the Nordic countries).

This transaction will enable Pernod Ricard to concentrate its resources on its premium international spirits and champagne brands, it says.
