USA: business inventories up 0.3% in August

S. business inventories rose by 0.3% in August compared with the previous month, according to the Commerce Department, following an increase at a similar rate the previous month.

With U.S. business sales contracting by 0.2% month-on-month, the inventory-to-sales ratio rose slightly from 1.37 in July to 1.38 the following month.
