HSBC AM: new Global Head of Equities

(CercleFinance.com) - HSBC Asset Management announces the appointment of Pierin Menzli as Global Head of Equity Management.
Pierin Menzli reports directly to Xavier Baraton, Global Chief Investment Officer.

In his new role, Pierin Menzli will head up the active equity management platform, which comprises a team of over 100 professionals managing close to $30 billion in assets.

"This appointment aims to accelerate the growth of the asset management business, with a focus on emerging markets, Asia, thematic solutions and other specialized strategies" says management.

Before joining HSBC AM in 2022 as Head of Thematic Investments, he was Head of Thematic Equity Strategies for Bank J. Safra Sarasin.

Xavier Baraton, HSBC AM's Global Chief Investment Officer, said: 'This appointment is part of our initiatives to develop our equity management platform in our core areas of specialization. His extensive investment experience will clearly strengthen HSBC AM's management capabilities. '
