Pernod Ricard: sales down 8.5% in Q1

(CercleFinance.com) - Pernod Ricard has reported an 8.
5% decline in sales to E2.78bn in Q1 2024-25, including a 5.9% organic decline, with a price/mix effect of -6% in an environment of moderate price effects and a negative market mix.

The spirits group explains that it was affected by a decline in China, where the macroeconomic context weighed on consumer demand, and in the United States with the performance of retailer sales to consumers.

Pernod Ricard confidently reiterates its medium-term ambitions, and forecasts a return to organic sales growth for its 2024-25 financial year, with a continued recovery in volumes, and the maintenance of its organic operating margin.
