Porsche: celebrates 25 years of the 911 GT3

(CercleFinance.com) - A quarter of a century later, Porsche looks back on the success story of a racing icon.


The first Porsche 911 GT3 was presented at the Geneva International Motor Show in March 1999.

For 25 years, four generations of this sports car have continued the 911 success story.

A few months later, the 996 generation of the 911 is available, following in the footsteps of the Carrera RS models. Under the hood of the first GT3 is a 3.6-liter engine, an evolution of the naturally aspirated six-cylinder boxer engine of the 911 GT1.
