Airbus: restructuring plans for D&S division

(CercleFinance.com) - Airbus announces plans to adapt its Defence and Space division, in light of a still complex business environment, particularly in the Space Systems segment where significant financial charges have been recorded in 2023 and 2024.


The planned measures will include the creation of a more efficient structure, particularly for head office functions, as well as full end-to-end operational responsibility for its Air Power, Space Systems and Connected Intelligence business lines.

They are expected to result in up to 2,500 layoffs within Airbus Defence and Space by mid-2026. The details of this plan will be worked out in collaboration with the social partners, with whom discussions are due to start.
