United Airlines: share buyback program
(CercleFinance.com) - On its quarterly earnings call, United Airlines announced on Tuesday evening that its Board of Directors had authorized a share buyback program of up to $1.
5bn, representing around 7% of its market capitalisation.
The Chicago-based airline reported adjusted EPS that fell 8.8% to $3.33 for Q3 2024, although this was above its target range of $2.75 to $3.25.
United Airlines posted an adjusted pre-tax profit of $1.4bn, a margin of 9.7%, on operating revenues up 2.5% to $14.8bn, on capacity that is up 4.1%.
