Voltalia: develops photovoltaic roofs

(CercleFinance.com) - Voltalia announces that its subsidiary Helexia has acquired 28 megawatts of photovoltaic roofs on farm buildings in France.


Helexia has acquired 202 solar roofs on farm buildings. They are all in the operational phase and benefit from 20-year electricity sales contracts.

Since March 2022, Helexia has been offering farmers photovoltaic roofing solutions for farm sheds. These sheds mainly house agricultural machinery, livestock or crops.

The photovoltaic projects developed by Voltalia and Helexia as part of their agricultural coactivities, in particular agrivoltaics and agricultural rooftops, total a capacity of over 190 megawatts.

The acquisition of these new agricultural sheds once again demonstrates our commitment to contributing to the energy transition by offering solutions tailored to the needs of farmers, complementing our offering for our industrial and commercial customers, Helexia Group says.
