Eramet: 2024 targets lowered for manganese and nickel

(CercleFinance.com) - Eramet has lowered its 2024 targets for Comilog and PT Weda Bay Nickel, given the deteriorated market conditions for carbon steel in China and the lower-than-expected nickel ore sales permit issued by Indonesia.


As a result, the mining and metallurgical group's target for manganese ore volumes produced and transported in 2024 has been revised to between 6.5m and 7m tonnes (compared with 7m to 7.5m tonnes previously).

PT WBN's external nickel ore volume target has been revised to 29m wet tonnes in 2024, of which two-thirds will be high-grade saprolite and one-third laterite (compared with 40m to 42m previously).
