Vinci: signs E432m contract in Australia

(CercleFinance.com) - Seymour Whyte, Vinci Construction's Australian subsidiary, has been awarded a contract to upgrade a section of rail line between Beerburrum and Nambour in southeastern Queensland.


The work, worth E432m (695m Australian dollars), will start in 2025 and will take two years to complete.

It will involve doubling and realigning the rails, modernizing a parking lot and upgrading signalling systems. They also include the construction and renovation of several viaducts.

This project is the first phase in the renovation of the North Coast Line on behalf of the Department of Transport and Main Roads. The refurbished and modernised line will increase traffic and optimize passenger and freight transport in a fast-growing region, Vinci says.
