BAE Systems: presents two armored vehicles at AUSA 2024

(CercleFinance.com) - BAE Systems is presenting two versatile armored vehicle prototypes equipped with different mission capabilities at AUSA 2024.


A new AMPV prototype equipped with a 30mm turret will be presented alongside the Modular Turret Mortar System (MTMS), which has just completed US Army evaluations at the Yuma Test Center.

The latest configuration - which is the fifth in a series of AMPV prototypes that BAE Systems unveiled last year - includes the KONGSBERG medium-caliber turret (MCT), a compact and lightweight remote-controlled turret system.

' We are demonstrating the rapid and cost-effective options that AMPV brings to soldiers who need new and rapidly evolving capabilities to be ready for today's battlefields, and to be able to easily adapt to the unpredictable needs that will arise decades from now' said Bill Sheehy, AMPV Program Director for BAE Systems.
