Ackermans: new investment in Biotalys

(CercleFinance.com) - Ackermans & van Haaren has announced a €5 million contribution to a €15 million private placement in Biotalys, increasing its stake in this protein-based crop protection solutions company from 12.
5% to 15.4%.

Biotalys will use the proceeds of the placement primarily to support ongoing regulatory processes in the US and EU for its first product candidate EVOCA, to expand its pipeline, and to support the future development of EVOCA NG.

EVOCA is designed to combat botrytis and powdery mildew in high-value fruits and vegetables. Containing the same active ingredient, EVOCA NG will benefit from an optimized production process and formulation for competitive commercialization.
