Edenred: GHG targets approved by SBTi
(CercleFinance.com) - Edenred reports that its greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets have been approved by the Science Based Targets (SBTi) initiative, placing the group on a trajectory in line with the climate target set by the Paris Agreement.
Compared with 2019, it is thus committed to reducing its absolute GHG emissions from scopes 1 and 2 by 51.4% by 2030 and by 90% by 2050, and those from scope 3 by 55% per million euros of added value by 2030 and by 97% by 2050.
To achieve this, Edenred has put in place a plan to reduce its emissions, encompassing the energy consumption of its buildings, a reduction in the environmental footprint of its IT equipment and servers, and a responsible purchasing policy.
