Arkema: reduces the carbon footprint of its polyamide 11

(CercleFinance.com) - Arkema has reduced the carbon footprint of its global biobased polyamide 11 production to 1.
3 kg CO2e/kg, an 80% reduction compared to traditional fossil polyamides.

This improvement is due to the use of renewable electricity and greater energy efficiency at its production sites.

Rilsan polyamide 11, derived from renewable castor seeds, is used in a variety of demanding sectors such as automotive and 3D printing.

Arkema is targeting a further reduction to 1 kg CO2e/kg by 2030, marking a key milestone in its commitment to sustainable development.
