Nokia: launches 1st autonomous 5G network in Costa Rica

(CercleFinance.com) - Nokia is deploying Costa Rica's first autonomous 5G network with equipment from its AirScale portfolio, for Radiográfica Costarricense.


The project brings high-speed, low-latency 5G connectivity to major urban centers including San José, Cartago and Limon, as well as to rural communities throughout the country.

The initial deployment phase has seen 30 sites installed in the main cities, with a further 170 planned for later this year, with plans to expand to 500 sites in subsequent phases.
