TotalEnergies: to expand its global LNG presence

(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies has signed a charter agreement with Spanish shipowner Ibaizabal for an 18,600 m3 liquefied natural gas (LNG) bunkering vessel.


This new vessel will extend the Company's global presence in major marine fuel supply hubs. In particular, it could be deployed in Oman, where the Company is developing the Marsa LNG project, which will supply LNG for maritime transport in the Gulf.

The vessel, which will be owned by Ibaizabal, will supply marine LNG to a wide range of vessels (container ships, tankers, cruise ships, ferries, etc.) from TotalEnergies' LNG bunkering hubs.

New LNG-powered ships are entering service at a very rapid pace and we are fully mobilised to meet the growing demand from the international maritime sector and its decarbonisation objectives, TotalEnergies said.
