JCDecaux: launches an eco-design assessment tool

(CercleFinance.com) - JCDecaux announces the launch of the Eco Design Index, presented as 'an educational tool designed to assess the environmental performance of its street furniture'.


This index, the result of several years' efforts in eco-design, makes it possible to measure and compare the environmental impact of products, thereby raising stakeholder awareness of these issues.

The Eco Design Index is structured around two main themes: design and manufacture, and operation and use. Performance is rated on a scale of 0 to 10 and translated into an A to E index, making it easier to understand the results.

The Group states that its ambition is to position its new developments at the top of the Eco Design Index scale in order to achieve its climate objectives.
