Volkswagen: to present its new SUV, the Tayron, in Paris
(CercleFinance.com) - Volkswagen announces the Tayron, a model billed as 'Europe's second largest SUV, after the Touareg', offering 'versatility and sophistication' with 'generous space for passengers and luggage'.
The vehicle offers five- to seven-seat configurations and a towing capacity of 2.5 tonnes. The Tayron eHybrid plug-in hybrid powertrain combines power and a range of over 100 km in electric mode.
Tayron will be presented at the Paris Motor Show from October 14 to 20, and is positioned between the premium Touareg and Tiguan, with a top-of-the-range interior and a variety of powertrains (light hybrids, plug-in hybrids, petrol and diesel). Pre-sales start on October 10.
In France, pre-sales of the Tayron will start on October 10, with three engines available.
