Thales: signs contract for thermal imaging cameras

(CercleFinance.com) - Thales Canada announces the signing of a contract by the Canadian government for the purchase of Sophie Ultima portable thermal imaging cameras.


This contract is part of the government's project to modernize night vision systems for the armed forces.

These thermal imaging cameras are equipped with a high-performance infrared channel. They enable NATO forces to detect and recognize tanks up to 6 km away.

Its continuous optical zoom and wide 20° field of view enable operators to maintain visual contact with targets during the detection, reconnaissance and identification phases, ensuring rapid and accurate engagement', says the group.

Thales says it is committed to providing advanced and reliable solutions, with local support, as is the case with the Sophie Ultima cameras.
