Novavax: EU green light for Nuvaxovid vaccine

(CercleFinance.com) - Novavax announces that the European Commission has granted marketing authorization for its updated Nuvaxovid 2024-2025 COVID-19 vaccine for people aged 12 and over in the European Union.


This decision follows a positive opinion from the European Medicines Agency. Non-clinical data have shown that this vaccine offers protection against several variants of the virus, including JN.1 and KP.3.

The vaccine is also approved in the USA, as recommended by health agencies. Common side effects include muscle aches, headaches and nausea.
