Diageo: tests Everpour system in Dublin bars

(CercleFinance.com) - Diageo has announced that it is testing Everpour, a new system for distributing spirits in reusable casks, in seven bars around Dublin.


The project, which begins with Smirnoff, aims to reduce carbon emissions.

Developed in partnership with Hodges & Drake, Everpour automatically refills bottles, and empty kegs are recycled after long use.

The trial will replace at least 500 glass bottles per keg, with a reduction in carbon emissions of over 50% per litre.

We're very excited that Smirnoff is the first brand to test Everpour, combining convenience for bartenders and sustainability for our business, Diageo said.
