Nexans: launch of a recycling service

(CercleFinance.com) - Nexans announces the launch of CableLoop, a unique recycling and recovery service for cable offcuts, and is thus banking on the circular economy to 'support the energy transition and address the growing copper shortage'.


Through this service, the Group buys back used cables, electrical wires at the end of construction sites or obsolete industrial cables, and transforms them into 'precious resources, infinitely reusable', for its partners, customers, suppliers and the cable industry.

Thanks to these new recycling loops, Nexans aims to collect more than 800 tons of cable offcuts by 2025. It aims to use a minimum of 30% recycled copper in the manufacture of its cables by 2030.
