Sanofi: positive data to be presented on Beyfortus

(CercleFinance.com) - Sanofi reports that new data on its Beyfortus (nirsevimab), will be presented at IDWeek 2024, the annual meeting of the Infectious Disease Society of America, to be held in Los Angeles from 16 to 19 October.


This data, from several national vaccination programs, confirm its real-world efficacy against RSV (respiratory syncytial virus) infections and the risk of hospitalization in infants, the healthcare group says.

Sanofi points out that a second Beyfortus production-filling line will produce the majority of doses for the 2024-25 season, and that a third has been approved by the European EMA and is currently being evaluated by the US FDA.
