Crédit Agricole: in the green, benefits from a positive analysis

(CercleFinance.com) - Crédit Agricole shares ended the day in the green, while the CAC40 gave up almost 1%.


The stock benefited from a positive analysis by Jefferies, which reaffirmed its 'buy' recommendation on Crédit Agricole, with a price target raised from 21.6 to 23.4 euros.

The analyst expects the banking group's EPS to average 15% above consensus over the 2024-26 period.

"Crédit Agricole remains our top pick among French names, given its earnings upside potential, particularly in asset gathering activities, which we believe is being overlooked by consensus", explains the broker in the summary of its note.

Jefferies continues to believe that Crédit Agricole "can deliver above-consensus earnings and a sustainable RoTE above the sector, with areas such as insurance, asset management and wealth management generating results".
