Mercedes-Benz: partner of the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network

(CercleFinance.com) - Mercedes-Benz has announced a partnership with the Ontario Vehicle Innovation Network (OVIN) to 'stimulate the creation of startups and the commercialization of automotive innovation in North America'.


The OVIN Incubators program will focus on innovation in software, AI, vehicle components and electric propulsion.

Mercedes-Benz will provide its expertise to promising projects, which will also benefit from the international Mercedes-Benz STARTUP AUTOBAHN network.

At the same time, a research partnership will be established with the University of Waterloo, focusing on neuromorphic computing for automated driving.

This initiative is part of a cooperation agreement signed in 2022 between Mercedes-Benz and the Canadian government, aimed at strengthening the electric vehicle value chain.
