Honeywell: advanced materials spin-off plan

(CercleFinance.com) - Honeywell has announced a plan to spin off its advanced materials business into an independent, listed company, a project it hopes will be tax-free for its shareholders and completed by the end of 2025 or early 2026.


This company, which would own brands such as Solstice, Spectra, Hydranal and Aclar, would represent sales of around $3.8 billion and an EBITDA margin of over 25% forecast for the year 2024.

The company will be well positioned to benefit from increased strategic focus and the financial flexibility needed to seize opportunities for innovation and growth throughout investment cycles, according to the industrial group.

In addition, the demerger should enable Honeywell to advance its strategic priorities of accelerating organic growth, evolving its Accelerator operating system and optimizing its portfolio.
