ABB: winner of the Euromines Safety Award 2024

(CercleFinance.com) - ABB announces that it has received the Euromines Safety Award 2024 for its commitment to health and safety in the mining industry.


The prize was awarded for its automatic blast loader, developed in collaboration with Boliden, LKAB, Forcit and LKAB Kimit.

This automated robot, designed for underground mines, enables boreholes to be loaded with explosives without human intervention, thus reducing risks to workers.

The prize was awarded at a ceremony in Brussels, and ABB took first place among the three finalists out of 12 initial candidates.
