TotalEnergies: partners RWE in offshore wind projects

(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies announces that it has signed an agreement with RWE to acquire a 50% stake in two offshore wind projects, N-9.
1 (2 GW) and N-9.2 (2 GW), located 110 km off the German North Sea coast.

These projects were awarded to RWE in August and have 25-year licenses, extendable to 35 years. This acquisition is in addition to other local concessions already awarded to TotalEnergies, which will enable it to benefit from synergies and optimise its costs.

Preliminary studies already carried out by the German Federal Maritime and Hydrographic Agency (BSH) will help RWE and TotalEnergies to plan the construction of the farms, which are scheduled to come on stream in 2031 and 2032 respectively.
