BAE Systems: wins $92m contract from US Navy

(CercleFinance.com) - BAE Systems announces that it has been awarded a $92m contract by the US Navy to continue manufacturing thrusters for the Virginia-class submarines.


BAE Systems states that thruster production will be carried out at the Submarine Center of Excellence in Louisville, Kentucky, with engineering support from its Minneapolis offices.

BAE Systems adds that it will also manufacture heavy structures for the Columbia-class submarines and missile launch tubes for the Virginia-class submarines.
