TotalEnergies: selected as highest bidder by Bulgargaz

(CercleFinance.com) - TotalEnergies has been selected as the highest bidder in a tender launched by Bulgargaz for the supply of liquefied natural gas (LNG) to its Greek terminal in Alexandroupolis, the Bulgarian group announced on Friday.


Bulgargaz explained that the French energy company had formulated the most competitive proposal in the light of the criteria that had been established.

Out of the 13 international companies that had initially expressed an interest, six had submitted binding offers for the supply of LNG for the months of November and December, Bulgargaz continued.

The tender, launched at the end of August, was for three deliveries of LNG equivalent to the volume of five ships (5,000,000 MWh).

The first stage was for the delivery of liquefied gas for October, the second for November and December, and the third for January and February 2025, the results of which are expected in mid-November.

The delivery corresponding to the first stage, for a volume of 1,000,000 MWh, arrived yesterday in Alexandroupolis, from Norway.
