EDF: EU approves joint acquisition of OnTower Austria

(CercleFinance.com) - Under EU Merger Regulations, the European Commission has approved the acquisition of joint control of OnTower Austria, based in Austria, by EDF and Vauban Infrastructure Partners, both of which are based in France.


The transaction mainly concerns the telecommunications sector in Austria.

The Commission concluded that the proposed concentration would not raise competition concerns, given that the companies are not present on the same or vertically related markets.
