ABB: towards a strategic collaboration with Codelco

(CercleFinance.com) - Codelco announces that it has signed a letter of intent with ABB to explore a long-term strategic collaboration to decarbonize its operational sites in Chile through digitalization, automation and electrification solutions.


The companies will identify innovation needs to achieve Codelco's net-zero objectives, including fleet electrification.

ABB aims to improve safety, productivity and operational expenses in Codelco's open-pit, underground mines and processing facilities.
